Elégance Suites Hôtel - Ile de Ré
We spent one night at this hotel, and to put it mildly, we were very disappointed with the services offered for the price we paid. The room was fairly decent, but very damp, and the heating was practically nonexistent, hence the mold on the curtains and windows. Overall, it wasn't very clean. For a 4-star hotel, this is just average. The spa is across the street, so it's not very convenient to walk across in a bathrobe, especially in winter, and the changing room at the spa was already occupied. Since we shared the jacuzzi with several other people, for the price of 400 euros per night, we thought the spa would be private for an hour. Breakfast was quite good. Finally, I also advise against the massage chairs; they are not at all relaxing, and on the contrary, we left with back pain. In conclusion, I find the price completely unjustified. I think we can expect a higher standard of accommodation, and that is definitely not the case. We will not be repeating the experience.
A word: PERFECT!
My husband and I came for Valentine's Day weekend, and it was a truly magical experience. The welcome was top-notch, with friendly, pleasant, and helpful staff. Each room has a reserved parking space. The spa room with chromotherapy features a spacious private courtyard with garden furniture.
Inside the room, you'll find a safe, minibar, coffee maker, teapot, and toilet. A bathrobe and slippers are also provided. The restaurant is served in a lovely dining room, and the staff are very professional, smiling, and helpful. The meal was excellent, with generous portions and delicious food. Breakfast is served in the same room as an all-you-can-eat buffet (hot drinks machine, fruit juices, compotes, jams, pastries, bread, cereals, hot dishes, and cold cuts). I highly recommend this magical place for a wonderful and relaxing stay.

We stayed at this hotel for Valentine's Day. The rooms are nice, and the in-room spa bath was perfect for relaxing. Dinner was very good, as was the breakfast buffet. It's very well located in a quiet area not far from the beach.
We spent three nights at the elegant hotel for New Year's Eve and left delighted with our stay. The staff were very friendly, welcoming, and truly attentive to their guests. The brunch breakfast was very generous, and the room was perfect. We highly recommend this hotel.

On the positive side, the room was truly excellent. Spacious, elegant, comfortable, and very pleasant. On this point, there was nothing to complain about; it was even a real strength of the hotel.
However, several details, which shouldn't exist at this price point, detracted from the experience. The air conditioning light illuminated the entire room at night, as did the electrical panel, one of whose indicator lights was constantly flashing.
Furthermore, there was no complimentary bottle of water or welcome tray, despite these being advertised during the booking process. These are basic amenities expected in this type of establishment. It would be wise to add a few euros to the price for these details.
The most disappointing aspect was the breakfast. The complex houses several hotels of varying categories, and you have to cross the road to have breakfast in another building. The service offered is more akin to that of a budget chain: mass-produced croissants, a very basic, low-quality selection. While the portions are certainly generous, it's absolutely not the experience one expects when booking a hotel in this category.
In short: a beautiful setting and a well-designed room, but a collection of minor details and a breakfast that clearly falls short of the advertised positioning. For a "luxury" stay, I wouldn't recommend this establishment despite its obvious potential.
